I don’t know about blood detoxification but in blood glucose levels the liver responds to a hormone secreted by the pancreas called glucagon. Glucagon is secreted when blood glucose levels are too low becuase it stimulates the glycogen storages cells to the glycogen to glucose. Then th eglucose is released into the blood stream, causing levels to rise back to normal. Oppositely, when glucose levels are too high in the blood, the pancreas secretes a different horomone, insulin. Insulin promotes the body cells (including the liver) to take the glucose out of the blood, therefore the levels lower back to normal.
the others have already mentioned Glucose. So, regarding de-tox, the liver is the primary organ used for metabolism of drugs, chemicals, etc.
Eg, a drug may need to undergo modification or metabolism in order to become active. An example of this is the Cytochrome p450 pathway, a critical element of oxidative metabolism. The most famous of these enzymes are the hepatic (ie, liver) cytochromes P450.
Whenever blood sugar level is goes down than liver break down the storred glycogen to form glucose and vice versa.
Livers have different cells which with the help of water detoxified the substances present in our food.
