P.I. Straker is about right. I’m 67 and move like a snail and have to think before making a move like stepping off the sidewalk with any degree of speed – out of the question.
Other possibility is that the person suffering from slomoitis may have somehow got stuck between time slots – like they’re in a dream trying to run through knee deep treacle or something.
There is a condition called psychomotorretardation – not a nice-sounding word I know! It can be associated with severe clinical depression and other such illnesses.
